It has been a while

Wow. I have been really lame and have not updated my blog in a while. I was just thinking about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always wanted to be the singing voice of a Disney princess. I loved the animated musicals that Disney produced. Those are the classics, worth something of value. Now don't get me wrong, I love Zac Efron (even if he is younger than my little bro), but this new stuff doesn't hold a candle to what they used to produce. Ah! If only they would start producing them again, perhaps my dream would become a reality. ;)

Winter 2009

Tomorrow is the start of the winter semester and I am really not looking forward to it at all. I have been warned that one of my classes is pretty intense and your entire grade is a 30 page term paper. Great. Plus, I have 3 graduate classes now and am teaching and being a TA so I will have less time. Andrew's schedule is pretty crazy too and we won't be able to see each other nearly as much as last semester and even that was slim. Then today Drew got released from his calling which is ok. He has been doing it for quite a while and it was time for him to be released. But now he wants to go to his BYU ward which is out of my boundaries so I won't be able to go with him. Plus, my calling is basically doing all the music for everything in the ward so its not like I can visit his ward on a regular basis. I just don't like the idea of all these young BYU girls drooling over my man and hitting on him and not being able to be there. I know that I should be secure enough in our relationship, but being able to go to church together is something that I cherish. He says that he is just going to see next week, but he hates our ward enough that I have no doubt in my mind that he will be going to it. :( Just another thing for me to stress out about.

mark item of the week

Here is the newest item of the week!

mark Twinklebelle

Shimmer with a twist!

price: $9.00

Twist the handle of this brush and watch a pearlized, slightly reflective powder "magically" come up through the bristles, ready to be applied to shoulders and face. This is a perfect way to give yourself that extra sparkle and shine! :)

My plan

So I have had a ton of people ask me how things are going and what my plans are for the future. I thought it would be good to just post it. I should be done with my graduate degree by next summer is all goes well with my thesis and exit exams. From there, I will do the accelerated route to licensing for Utah and then be able to teach. So for the next two years I will be in Utah. This also coincides with what Drew is doing with school so we are on the same time line which makes things nice. :)

Christmas

This was a very nice Christmas this year. Andrew was a little grumpy at the beginning of the week but by Christmas morning he was chipper. :) I got to Drew's house at 8 am just in time to see the kids open their gifts. They liked the gifts that I got them and Drew spoiled me with a ton of stuff: a new set of scriptures, a piggy bank, and two gift cards. I got him a holster and now he "packs heat" any time he can. :) My family is here visiting for a few days and it is nice to spend time with them and our dog Sally. :)

Big SLC Date

Today Andrew took me up to SLC to go on our big date. We went ice skating and it was really fun. I hadn't gone ice skating since I was 10 and that was the only time that I had ever gone. I did pretty well, although there were plenty of kids who were speeding past me. ;) After that we had hot chocolate and went to the Gateway to get some gift ideas. As a side note, that mall really is not that impressive. It has just as many shops as the malls here in Provo and Orem but you freeze your butt off going from store to store. Then we went to dinner at the Olive Garden and went to Temple Square to go see the lights. It has become our little Christmas tradition since we did it last year too. :) Then we came home and I am currently watching the BYU bowl game and am getting more and more depressed as it goes on... Tomorrow is the big Chirstmas program for the ward so I will be able to breathe easier. :)
